Three minutes with your microphone, then ten a day

The plan comes from your numbers, and the same test every week shows whether they're moving.

Your range

Hum your lowest and highest easy notes. We name your voice type and key every exercise to it.

A warm-up you can see

Three short exercises in your key. Every note scored in cents, flat or sharp, while you sing.

A plan from your numbers

10 to 20 minutes a day, aimed at the notes you miss. Re-measured every 7 days.

What a video can't do

Warm-up videos are good teachers. They just can't hear you.

A warm-up video

  • Sung in the teacher's key, not yours
  • No idea whether you hit the note
  • No way to see progress from one week to the next

Singsteady

  • Every exercise in your measured range
  • Every note scored in cents as you sing
  • The same test every 7 days, so progress is a number

Questions

Can't I just watch YouTube or ask a chatbot?

Warm-up videos are great, but a video can't hear you, and it's in somebody else's key. Singsteady listens to every note, tells you how many cents you were off, and builds the next session around the notes you missed, in your own range.

Is my voice recorded?

No. Pitch is measured inside your browser and the sound never leaves your device. We keep only the numbers, like “E4, 34 cents flat”.

How accurate is it?

On 817 seconds of real singing, our pitch engine's median error per frame was 0.87 cents, and the note averages we show land within about 5–8 cents of studio analysis. We call a note “in tune” within ±25 cents, because voices naturally wobble more than that.

What's a cent?

A hundredth of a semitone. 100 cents is the step between two neighbouring piano keys, so 30 cents flat is about a third of the way to the next key down.

Do I need headphones?

No. The piano plays first, then you sing, so the two never mix. With headphones you can sing along instead.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, in Safari or Chrome on iPhone and Android, and on any computer with a microphone. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app.

I'm a complete beginner. Is it for me?

Yes. Every exercise starts inside the range you measured, and only moves up when three sessions in a row go well.

How do I cancel?

In your account, one click. No email, no phone call. If you're charged and it isn't for you, we refund within 30 days.

Is it for children?

Singsteady is for ages 16 and up. Young voices are still changing; a teacher who can hear them in person is the better choice.

Who makes it
