Your voice

Your voice is never recorded or uploaded. The microphone sound is processed in your browser, in memory, to find the pitch of what you sing, and then discarded. What leaves your device are numbers, like “range G3 to E5” or “E4, 34 cents flat”. We don't create a voiceprint or anything that could identify you by your voice.

Anonymous daily counts (for example “voice checks started today”, by country group and device type)Legitimate interest: knowing which steps work25 months

If you're under 16, we don't keep your answers: the check stops at the age question.

Anonymous counts and statistics

We count steps (for example “quiz finished”, “checkout opened”) without cookies, IP addresses or identifiers. Measurements are never part of those counts. We may publish statistics made from many people's measurements (for example “the average range of new users”), only in aggregate, never in a way that identifies you.

Emails

Service emails: your report if you ask for it, your sign-in links, purchase and trial-end reminders, yearly renewal reminders, and the daily and weekly reminders you switch on. Each reminder email has a one-click way to stop it. Marketing emails (singing tips, offers, a note after you cancel) go only to people who ticked the box and confirmed by email, and each has a one-click unsubscribe. Service emails are sent with Cloudflare Email Service; marketing emails with Postmark (ActiveCampaign).

Cookies

Two cookies at most. A sign-in cookie, only once you've bought or redeemed a code, keeps you signed in on this device. It's strictly necessary, so it doesn't need consent.

A partner cookie, only if you came from a partner's link: it's set by PromoteKit (our affiliate service) and records which partner sent you, so they can be paid a commission if you subscribe. When you check out, that partner reference is passed to our payment page. In the UK and outside the US we ask before setting it, and only if you arrived through a partner link. In the US it's on unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control or you turn it off here. No advertising or analytics cookies, pixels or other tags.

Payments

Payments are handled by Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company), the merchant of record. We see your name, email, country and whether you paid; never your card number. Link and Stripe process payment data under their own privacy policies.

Hosting

Singsteady runs on Cloudflare (Workers and D1 database). Our data is stored in the EU.

Who we share data with

Only the processors above (Cloudflare, Link/Stripe, Postmark, and PromoteKit for partner credit), to run the service. We don't sell or share your personal information for advertising.

Your rights

You can download your data (Account → Download my data), delete your account (Account → Delete my account), or email us to access, correct, delete or object. In the UK you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). In the US, if your state gives you privacy rights (for example California), you can use them by emailing us; we don't sell personal information.

Children

Singsteady is for people aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children; the check stops for anyone under 16.

Changes

We'll update this page and its date when anything changes, and email account holders about important changes.
